Delilah Pipes and her children moved to Hardin Co. Tennessee after the Civil war and were there in the 1870 Census. She was the widowed wife of John Pipes from Limestone County, Alabama. There was also an Abner Pipes who was there in the 1880 census. Abner and his siblings were descendants of Pleasant Pipes of Limestone Co., Alabama. There are still several Pipes families in this county.
