John Abner "Jack" Pipes and Abner Pipes

Company "G"

22nd Texas Infantry "Hubbard's Regiment"

John Abner (known as 'Jack') and Abner Pipes were brothers and sons of John Pipes and Mary Gibbons. Jack was born in Mississippi in 1823 and Abner was born in Union Parish, Louisiana in 1831. John and Mary moved their family to Texas between 1840 and 1850 and settled in the Smith County area.

 Jack married Charlotte Scott near the end of the Civil War and they raised 5 children. I need to do more research on Abner's family.

Both men enlisted in Hubbard's 22nd Texas Infantry and were assigned to Company "G"
