A 10 page manuscript detailing the family of Robert Pipkin Pipes, a son of Coromandel Kemp and Charles Wesley Pipes., unknown, This paper was written by a son of William Stafford Blisard, a descendant of Robert Pipkin Pipes. The son's name is not known at present. A copy of the paper was sent to Robert J. Pipes in Aug 1999 by Roberta and Marvin McDow of California.

A descendant chart of the children of Abner Pipes, supplied to Robert J. Pipes in 1998 by Tommye Jo Price. This chart supplies names but no dates or locations., 1998, Tommye Jo states that many of the names supplied were given to her by Walter Pipes of Shreveport, La.

A List of Marriages, Deaths, Births etc found in the Thompson Manuscripts at Indiana University, Lilly Library, Bloomington, Indiana, 1960, A List compliled by Dr. Stith Thompson, a Pipes Descendant. This list was compiled from Bible records and was probably sent to Dr. Thompson by one of the Louisiana Researchers. The researcher may have been Walter Pipes of Shreveport, La. This document was copied by Robert J. Pipes in 1989 from the Thompson Manuscripts.

The Civil War pension Application of Joseph Pipes., January, 1908, In January, 1908, Joseph Pipes filed a pension application regarding his service in the 12th Louisiana Infantry during the Civil War. It gives some information on his personal life, states that he is married, his wife is 56 in 1908, he has one daughter age 20. The application also shows that he was a sergeant, and 2nd Lieutenant and was paroled at the end of the war in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Widow's Application for Pension: Civil War Service., Sept 4, 1914, On September 4, 1914, Elizabeth Pipes completed an application for a widow's pension based on her assertion that James Huey Pipes had served in a local "home guard" unit in Lincoln Parish during the Civil War. He apparently was an old man at the time and served in what was called a choir unit. The application was denied, but provides dates and small bits of information.
